O livro Pratos & Travessas # Pratos & Travessas the cookbook

Quando peguei nele pela primeira vez foi uma sensação extraordinária.

Assim como um parto emocional. O sentimento de trazer à luz mas sem dor, apenas emoção. O projeto que tem tanto de mim estava ali na minha mão. Tinha textura, volume e também o perfume reconfortante do papel novo. O meu livro tinha agora forma física. E a cada página virada, fui-me lembrando de todo o processo. Dos sítios onde fui para fotografar.  Das visitas intermináveis aos mercados. Dos festins que fizemos cá em casa e do pós festa na forma de pilhas monumentais de louça para lavar. Houve momentos para tudo: alegria, lágrimas,  exaltação e incerteza. E a verdade é que ainda agora o tenho à flor da pele.

Assim que comecei a trabalhar neste projeto, o meu primeiro desejo foi criar uma fonte de inspiração para quem já está à vontade na cozinha mas também para aqueles que querem começar a cozinhar, na forma de receitas caseiras, familiares e com uma pequena seleção de algumas das melhores receitas do blogue. As receitas que gostamos de comer cá em casa  e que gosto de cozinhar e servir nas mais variadas ocasiões, representadas por imagens lindas, apelativas e algumas histórias pessoais e gustativas. Assim  poderão encontrar várias receitas inéditas, doces e salgadas,  super saborosas. Umas  para o pequeno almoço e brunch. Outras mais simples e rápidas para os jantares da semana. Sugestões deliciosas e práticas para um piquenique de Primavera. Ideias para receber os amigos. Receitas mais frescas  para os dias de Verão. Um almoço de Domingo bem farto e cuidado. E por fim uma seleção de bolos lindos e festivos para fechar com chave de ouro.

No próximo dia 20 de Maio, ele estará nas livrarias mas já está em pré lançamento na Bertrand Online. E eu quero sinceramente que ele cumpra o seu propósito e que seja para os seus leitores uma fonte deliciosa de inspiração, dentro e fora da cozinha.

When I took it for the first time it was an extraordinary feeling. As aif it was an emotional delivery. The feeling of bringing to light but without pain, only emotion. The project that has so much of me was there in my hand. It had texture, volume and also the comforting scent of new paper. My book now had physical form.And at every page turned I was remembering the whole process. The places I went to shoot. The endless visits to the market.Of the feasts we had here at home and the post party in the form of monumental piles of dishes to wash. There were times for everything: Joy, tears, excitement and uncertainty. But the truth is that I still have it under my skin.

As soon as I started creating this book, my first desire was to create a source of inspiration for those who already know their way around a kitchen but also for those who want to start to cook, in the form of homemade, familiar  recipes and with a small selection of some of the best recipes of the blog. The recipes we like to eat here at home and that I like to cook and serve in various occasions, represented by beautiful, appealing images and some personal, tasty stories. So in it you will find several new, super tasty, savory and sweet recipes. Some for breakfast and brunch. Others more simple and quick for weeknight dinners. Delicious and practical suggestions for a Spring picnic. Ideas to host your friends. Fresh recipes for Summer days. The bounty and care of a Sunday lunch. And then a selection of wonderful party cakes to close with a golden key.

Next May 20th it will in the bookstores, but it´s already for pre order in Bertand Online. And I sincerely want it to fulfill it´s purpose of being a delicious source of inspiration to it´s readers, inside and outside of the kitchen.
